MEET THE PRINCIPAL
MnSOM students enjoy the ability to study multiple instruments in the same location.
This saves our students time and money. We have many families who take lessons on multiple different instruments at the same time. No more driving from place to place.
Our expert instructors are all fully-trained employees that are here to serve our students. Whether you want to learn Bach or Bob Dylan, our friendly instructors make it a point to get to know you, and then apply our proven teaching methods to ensure you actually learn the music you want to learn.
Located in Blaine (35W and Lake Dr), we are just minutes away from anywhere in the North Metro. We welcome students from Andover, Arden Hills, Blaine, Centerville, Circle Pines, Columbia Heights, Coon Rapids, Fridley, Forest Lake, Ham Lake, Hugo, Lexington, Mounds View, Lino Lakes, New Brighton, Plymouth, Shoreview, Spring Lake Park, St. Francis, and White Bear Lake.
Every spring, summer, and fall, our students have the opportunity to perform in our Bravo Series recitals at Sundin Music Hall on the campus of Hamline University. This world-class facility provides the perfect onstage experience regardless of a student’s performance background.
Our acoustically-treated lesson rooms are fully equipped with libraries, technology, and instruments. Forgot your book? No worries, we’ve got you covered. Left your guitar at home? Not a problem, use ours. Simply put, we’ve got your back. Just come in and enjoy your lesson.
Every year, we host a FREE picture day with a professional photographer. This is a service that our student’s parents LOVE as they all want quality photos of their children.
We are the only musical school in Blaine that offers our students the chance to earn colorful wristbands and trophies for passing musical exams. Do other musical schools offer prizes? A few. But our students receive trophies with their names on them! And the best part? It’s completely FREE to participate! What’s better than that?
If one of our students misses their lesson, they have the option to request a FREE digital lesson delivered using a cutting-edge service called LessonMate. In short, if a student misses their lesson, their teacher with create a customize video lesson package specific to where the student left off. And the best part, LessonMate are available on demand for as long as a student remains with us. So, attend their sports championship, head to the lake, or take the night off, and we'll send you a LessonMate for your child to review when they are ready!
Our piano students get to study on concert-level instruments. Our Schiller concert series pianos provide the ultimate lesson experience. Students gain the benefit of proper form and technique. Not to mention, the better an instrument sounds, the more the student wants to play. Aside from hard work and expert instruction, playing a good sounding instrument is one of the most important determiners of student success. Go ahead, sign up and give one of our Schiller concert pianos a try.
Come enjoy your visit in our spacious, comfortable lobby complete with Wi-Fi, Kids Zone, and vending machine. Grab a seat at one of our tables to get some work done and grab a snack from brand new vending machine. And for the kiddos, we've got a Lego table, coloring sheets, and a book nook. Of course, we encourage parents to sit in on their child's lesson anytime they'd like.
Who wants to use a dirty restroom? Not us, and not our customers. That’s why we do regular restroom checks to ensure our facilities are in tip-top shape.
We search far and wide across the Twin Cities and beyond to find the most talented, dedicated, and kind instructors. Then, we provide high-level professional development training to ensure each of our instructors are equipped to meet both our educational, and customer service standards. We are the only school in the area that provides such comprehensive training to our faculty. Give us try, and we are confident our team will meet or exceed your expectations.
Many music studios leave the front desk unstaffed. Or even worse, staffed by the answering machine. Not us. We are fully committed to customer service. Our customers are welcomed by name at each visit and enjoy professional customer service at every visit.
We only want to work with students who truly want to be here. That’s why we offer month-to-month lessons. Our customers are enrolled on monthly recurring agreements with no long-term commitments. Want to discontinue lessons? No problem. We’ll be sad to see you go, but we’ll make it easy with no penalties. Just let us know by the 15th of the month that you’ll be discontinuing and we’ll take care of the rest. It’s that easy!

Our lessons are one-on-one, 30 minutes in length, and are held once per week on the same day and time. There are no long-term contracts (all of our customers are enrolled on a month-to-month agreement), and tuition is $160 per month.
There is a one-time registration fee of $40.
Registration is easy and takes only 5 minutes. We have friendly customer service staff to assist you 6 days per week.
