Our drum teachers teach a variety of styles from classical to popular music.
Your child will learn drum techniques as well as theory. They will also learn how to play along to their favorite contemporary music that they truly enjoy.
Our current drum instructor is highly knowledgeable in the craft and is also skilled at teaching.
• Complete set: A basic drum kit will consist of a bass drum, a snare drum, a tom, a floor tom, a hi-hat, and a crash cymbal (it would be preferrable to have a ride and splash cymbal too). An additional tom and a more efficient set of drum pedals will also enhance your child’s playing.
• Invest in a good drum throne for comfort. This will allow the student to practice longer comfortably.
• Drum tuner and a good set of drum sticks.
It is ideal for students to have their own drum kit to play with. You can either purchase one or rent one to help them along with their musical journey. A basic drum kit will consist of a bass drum, a snare drum, a tom, a floor tom, a hi-hat, and a crash cymbal (it would be preferrable to have a ride and splash cymbal too).
You can choose to buy or rent an acoustic or electronic drums to help your child learn the instrument better as we go through the lessons. Craigslist, your local pawnshops, or your music store are excellent places to find these drums in both brand new and pre-loved conditions.
If you are in the market for a drum set, but have not had your first lesson, we recommend waiting until you’ve had your first lesson. That way, you know you’ll be getting a kit that fits your body and your budget. There is no set answer of how long it takes to learn to play piano. With regular practice, a basic level of playing can be accomplished in a few months. Most of our students take lessons on a long term basis because they want to be constantly improving and they find the lessons enjoyable.
Yes. Even if you don’t have a musical background you can ask the teacher for advice on how to help your child practice. By simply monitoring that they are doing exercises a certain number of times per day the student will progress. Parents will occasionally sit in on their child’s music lesson to get an idea of the proper way a song should sound or how the student should be positioning their hands.
Our lessons are one-on-one, 30 minutes in length, and are held once per week on the same day and time. There are no long-term contracts (all of our customers are enrolled on a month-to-month agreement), and tuition is $160 per month.
There is a one-time registration fee of $40.
Registration is easy and takes only 5 minutes. We have friendly customer service staff to assist you 6 days per week.
